Integration of Agents in the Construction of a Single-family House through Use of BIM Technology

Resumen

This article examines the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) as an integrative approach for the agents involved in a construction project. Using the real case of a single-family house, it compares conventional project planning based on CAD with an integrated BIM-supported approach. The study discusses coordination, information exchange and multidisciplinary collaboration throughout the construction process, and analyses how BIM can improve the consistency of project information and support planning and decision-making. The paper concludes with recommendations for the introduction of this methodology and identifies possible lines for further development.
